The best way for 5 to 7 year olds to engage with learning and develop their musicianship is in a Group Class.
When they are ready to move to individual Piano Lessons they have already met many of the concepts and can hear and feel the sound and rhythm of what they are reading from the score.
I recommend that children take a musicianship class before starting piano lessons. Older beginners may have musicianship built into their individual lesson plan if they have not had the opportunity to do this.
